Russian Investment funds show increased and growing interest in Bulgarian SPA centers both on the Black Sea coast and inside the country. The information was reported by the Bulgarian National Radio (BNR) Tuesday, citing the President of the Bulgarian branch of the international real estate federation FIABCI, who said Russian investors are inquiring about possibility to purchase entire complexes at once. Bulgarians Increased Trips Abroad in Q2
The total number of trips Bulgarian citizens have made within the country and abroad dropped by 11% for the second quarter of 2010, according to preliminary data from Bulgaria's National Statistics Institute. However, Bulgarians made about 23% more trips abroad in the second quarter this year, in comparison to the period April-June 2009, while the trips within the country dropped by 17%. Bulgarian Black Sea Coast Enjoys More Tourists in July, August
There were about 10% more tourists at the Bulgarian Black Sea coast in July and August in comparison to the same period last year. 40% increase in Russians visiting Bulgaria in 2010
The Bulgarian Foreign Affairs Ministry has reported a surge in the number of Russian holidaymakers visiting Bulgaria and spending their summer holidays in the country this year, a media statement revealed on August 16 2010. Reportedly, the increase amounts to 40 per cent more Russian nationals visiting Bulgaria. Consulates in Moscow, St Petersburg, Ekaterinburg, and Novosibirsk have accounted for a total of 262 078 visas to date, or a 40 per cent increase on the same period in 2009. Bulgarian holidaymakers flock to Turkish resorts
The Turkish economy ministry has released information revealing that Bulgarians account for about 3.5 per cent of the total number of foreign tourists who visit the country, Bulgarian media reported on August 6 2010. The Bulgarian Black Sea resort Albena is expecting an 18% increase of tourists in August in comparison to the same period last year. Russian tourists most numerous at Varna airport
Russian tourists have again been most frequent international holidaymakers passing through Varna airport in the summer of 2010, Bulgarian media reported on August 9 2010. A total of 653 384 tourists went through the airport during the first seven months of 2010, a 1.18 per cent decrease year-on-year overall.
